The Schedule of Classes for summer term will usually be published by late January each year. The exact date may vary year to year.

The first step is to check the Schedule of Classes. You can search by subject code or specific classes. Check the Academic Catalog if you aren't sure of a specific subject code or course number.

If the upcoming summer term has not been published yet, another good option is to reach out to the department directly to see if they plan to offer that course for upcoming summer. You can find a list of each subject code's departmental scheduling contact on the College & Department Scheduling Contacts webpage or a list of subject area contacts on the Course Subject Area Contacts webpage.

Students interested in taking summer session classes that are not currently OSU students must apply for Non-degree seeking student status in order to register for classes.

A non-degree seeking student is an admissions classification for those individuals who are not fully admitted to Oregon State University as degree-seeking students at the time they register for classes. For complete details on how to apply for non-degree admission, visit Non-Degree students on the OSU Admissions Office website.

If you will be a degree-seeking student and have questions about registering for summer term courses, visit future students or contact an OSU advisor for help.
