Additional Fees

Study Resource Fees (including staff):

Study resource fees will be assessed for degree seeking students admitted to the following programs.

ID Card Fee: $20 to all students for first term of enrollment if not previously assessed.
OSU Staff: 25% of resident undergraduate tuition ($27 per credit) plus technology fee (12 credits or less).
Senior Citizens: If you are 65 or over, you may audit a class (noncredit basis) on a space-available basis with consent of the instructor at no charge, except for special supplies.

Refunds for Reductions in Course Loads

Refunds are granted in accordance with the Tuition/Fee Reduction and Refund Schedule. There are no refunds for staff tuition.

Fees for Grad Students

All advanced degree students on campus during the summer using facilities or staff time in furtherance of their graduate studies must register for at least 3 credits.

Grad Assistants: If you are a graduate assistant on a 12-month or Summer Session appointment, you are required to register for at least 9 credits. If you are a graduate research assistant, you must have approval of your research supervisor if you wish to carry more than 12 credits. Audit registrations and enrollment in Ecampus online courses may not be used to satisfy these enrollment requirements.

Non-degree Student Status

Non-degree students taking 8 credits or less (not working toward an OSU degree) may deduct $119.61 from the tuition matrix amount by opting not to pay the health service fee. The non-degree student category is designed for those not planning to complete a degree at OSU.

Consult the Business Office for details on non-degree student rates. If you hold a bachelor’s degree, consult the Graduate School office to determine whether it is advisable to register as a non-degree student.
