Cultural Resource Centers

Oregon State University is home to seven cultural resource centers that provide support services to students, faculty and staff to learn about different cultures and communities. The centers are committed to social justice and liberation for all people, regardless of racial/ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic class, age and/or physical abilities.

The centers are managed by the Diversity and Cultural Engagement (DCE) department within the Division of Student Affairs. DCE is a hub for engagement outside of the classroom that builds community and supports students’ personal growth, development and abilities to change the world.

DCE also facilitates several programs and initiatives that support the needs of diverse student communities are offered through the centers, including events and activities such as national history and heritage month programs, social justice workshops, cultural holiday celebrations, cooking demonstrations, craft nights and more.

In an effort to foster an inclusive community committed to equity and social justice at Oregon State, DCE events and programs are inclusive to all who are committed to transformative learning.

Asian & Pacific Cultural Center (APCC)

The Asian & Pacific Cultural Center is a space to engage students and members of the community around Asian and Pacific Islander experiences.

Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center (BCC)

The Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center complements the academic program of studies and enriches the quality of campus life for Black, African, and African-American students at Oregon State.

Centro Cultural César Chávez (CCCC)

The Centro Cultural César Chávez informs the community about issues central to the Chicano/a/x, Latino/a/x, and Hispanic cultures and heritages. The center provides an environment where all are able to appreciate their differences, and is a place that encourages a sense of purpose and unity.

Ettihad Culture Center (ECC)

Oregon State’s newest cultural resource center, the Ettihad Cultural Center, is a cross-cultural resource for OSU students who have a cultural or ethnic background in Central and Southwestern Asia and Northern Africa. It is also open to those who are interested in learning more about those cultures and religions.

Native American Longhouse (NAL)

The Native American Longhouse (NAL) Eena Haws represents the Indigenous people of the Americas and Pacific Islands. We provide educational opportunities to educate all about the regions' tribes and visitors of all cultures. For learners from a native background, the NAL provides a source of support honoring the culture of the first people on this land, including Alaskan Natives and Pacific Islanders.

Pride Center (PC)

The Pride Center provides programs and support services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and intersex members of the OSU community and their allies. The PC affirms the identities and empowers the lives of LGBTQQI people by providing education, outreach, program support, consultation, community development, visibility and advocacy. The PC is a safe space for all members of the community to explore aspects of sexual orientation and gender identity in an open and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Women’s Center (WC)

The Women’s Center is a bright, cozy meeting place and study spot where students of all genders can gather for lively discussion or quiet contemplation. The Women's Center (WC) serves as a campus focal point for projects directed at addressing women’s issues on campus, in the community-at-large, and globally. As an open community of leaders inspiring change, we provide advocacy, resources, and opportunities to transform the ideas into positive action and reality.
