If you're a visiting student, you will need to obtain "non-degree admission" status before you can register for undergraduate or graduate classes. A "non-degree" student is an admissions classification for those individuals who are not fully admitted to OSU as degree-seeking students at the time they register for classes. A non-degree admission does not mean you are not seeking a degree, either at OSU or elsewhere. For complete details on how to apply for non-degree admission, visit Non-Degree students on the OSU Admissions Office website. OSU Admissions provides information for all types of students.
Incoming freshmen and transfer students are required to attend START, OSU's summer advising and registration program. START is the first step in OSU's three-part student orientation program.
