Oregon State University Summer Session

Spring (or do a cartwheel) into summer

Summer term at Oregon State is only 11 days away. That's the best news of the year. And it leaves you with plenty of time to register for the summer classes that will help you graduate sooner.

OSU Summer Session offers nearly 700 undergraduate-level classes in over 100 subjects, and courses last anywhere from one week to 11 weeks. An added perk: everyone pays in-state tuition in summer.

If you're leaving Corvallis until fall, don't forget that Oregon State Ecampus delivers nearly 350 courses online, so you can study wherever you go.

Chemistry

Science majors: Take 3 chemistry labs in 9 days

If you plan to leave town this summer but still need to finish chemistry lab requirements for your science program, here's a solution: Complete three labs in less than 10 days. Seriously.

CH 261, CH 262 and CH 263 is the lab series for the general chemistry sequence CH 231, CH 232 and CH 233. Each lab is delivered in an intensive, three-day format designed to minimize the time students have to be on campus.

CH 261 runs Aug. 22-24; CH 262 runs Aug. 25-27; and CH 263 runs Aug. 28-30.

  Hatfield Marine Science Center

Spend your summer studying by the sea

One of the most unique opportunities to study this summer is at the Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) in Newport. Enroll in courses in the summer marine and environmental studies program, and you'll gain extensive hands-on field study of organisms in their natural habitats.

The program offers flexibility for students with limited time schedules, such as teachers and other professionals, with the added benefit of complete immersion in marine-focused topics.

HMSC summer courses start June 22, so register now.
