International Students
OSU students come from all over the world! During the academic year, OSU has nearly 26,000 students with 2,400 international students from more than 90 different countries. During the summer, OSU enrolls far fewer students; however, summer is still a wonderful time to be on campus and enroll in sessions that are designed to last one, three, four, eight and eleven weeks in length during the months of June, July, August and early September.
When to Apply
If you are currently outside the U.S. and plan to begin your bachelors degree at OSU during summer term, we recommend that you submit your application for admission and supporting documents 4-6 months prior to the start of the term. Applicants to Masters or PhD programs should refer to their prospective department for details regarding admission terms and application deadlines. For more details, check the OSU department's website.
If you are currently in the U.S. on another school's I-20 and wish to enroll with OSU during your vacation period only, please submit the online application for "non-degree" students. Please consult with your home institution's International Student Advisor or an OSU International Student Advisor if you have any questions. Email: isas.advisor@oregonstate.edu, or phone: 541-737-6310.
How to Apply
Visit the International Students Admissions website to access an online application and to learn more about admissions requirements.

U.S. Immigration Regulations
Due to U.S. immigration regulations, it is not possible for international students who reside outside the United States to attend OSU only for Summer Session. However, if you are regularly admitted to OSU, you may choose to begin your degree program in summer term, provided you enroll full-time. International students who are currently attending a U.S. institution and wish to attend OSU during the summer term are encouraged to consult with their home institution's international student advisor.
After you are Admitted
All newly admitted degree-seeking international students must complete an Orientation and Immigration Document Check-in within the first few days of arriving on the campus. Please contact International Student Advising and Services to schedule an appointment with an International Student Advisor.
