Interested in summer classes?

Students talking on the Memorial Union quadIf you have been admitted for fall term but want to take summer classes, you must notify OSU's Office of Admissions so that your admission can be updated and your eligibility for registration established. Fill out and submit the online change of term form.

Visit the Office of Admissions website for more details or contact them at 541-737-4411, 800-291-4192 or osuadmit@oregonstate.edu.

How do I register?

If this is your first time registering for classes at Oregon State, review the step-by-step registration guide and connect with your advisor if you need help.

START Orientation Program

START is Oregon State's summer advising and registration program, the first step in OSU's three-part student orientation program. If you are new to OSU, you are required to register for and attend one START session in order to register for fall term classes. Space in each program is limited, and registration is required.

Students with 35 or fewer transferable quarter college credits or who have never attended a university will participate in a First-Year START session. For orientation dates, visit the START Orientation website. Registration for START begins May 1, 2014, and can be completed online or at the New Student Programs and Family Outreach office.

"Everyone is in a better mood in the summer. ... Things are just a lot less hectic and a lot more relaxed. The classes are smaller and it's a great opportunity to get to know your professors better."
– Jon Lewis, English instructor
