INTO OSU
INTO Oregon State University provides international students with learning experiences and services that promote academic, professional and personal success. INTO OSU offers intensive English language instruction in an integrated curriculum that includes vocabulary, reading, structure, writing, speaking, listening comprehension, and electives. With regular start dates and flexible study options, students can tailor a study plan depending on their current level and the time of the year.
Academic English courses provide intensive English language instruction from beginner to advanced levels. This academically rigorous and intensive program is designed to prepare students for US university study at the undergraduate or graduate levels. Through development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing;TOEFL preparation; and academic study skills, the program enables students to progress to academic degree programs.
General English is a flexible, intensive language program for beginner through advanced levels that includes a wide range of optional modules, as well as social and cultural activities. This program is designed for students who want to develop communication skills for social and professional situations and learn about American culture. Start dates every five weeks make it easy for students to tailor their program to suit their needs.
Undergraduate Pathway Program combines intensive language study, academic skills development, and academic coursework in a carefully constructed program designed to move students successfully through the first year of a four-year degree program. Upon successful completion of the Pathway program, students progress to the second year of study in an undergraduate degree program. Undergraduate Pathway programs are available in:

Graduate Pathway Program is a pre-Master's program that provides international students a direct path to either a Master of Business (MBA) or Master of Engineering (MEng) degree. This innovative program gives students the academic foundation, essential language skills and GMAT/GRE test preparation to successfully move on to the Master's degree. For some students, the Graduate Pathway programs also provide a conversion course allowing entry to the MBA program and some Engineering degrees at OSU. The two Graduate Pathway programs, upon successful completion, offer progression to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a range of Master in Engineering (MEng) degree programs at OSU.
Note: Undergraduate and Graduate Pathway program start dates are not available summer term. Students can opt for General English or Academic English during summer term to prepare for their fall term Pathway start date.
Social ProgramsThe academic experience is supplemented by social, cultural, and recreational activities. The Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program furnishes an opportunity for at least one hour a week of conversation with native speakers, usually OSU students. INTO OSU also organizes many trips and activities designed to help students make the most of their time in the US. From white water rafting down an Oregon river to watching professional sporting events in Portland and Seattle, students at INTO OSU experience all the beauty, fun and thrills that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Support Services Students at INTO OSU have the same privileges as regularly enrolled OSU students in the use of campus recreational facilities, library, bookstore, student health and counseling services. Additionally, students enrolled in INTO OSU language programs have access to visa and immigration support, academic advising, language advisers, Pathway Peer tutors, a state-of-the-art Learning Center with writing and pronunciation assistance and many other helpful services. Most of these services are available in the International Living-Learning Center - a new, modern facility located on the OSU campus and home to INTO OSU.
