Eligibility to Register
Current undergraduate students in good academic standing are eligible to register for summer term classes. Undergraduate/non-degree/post-baccalaureate students who have been absent four or more terms, not including summer terms, and wish to reenroll must complete an Application for Re-admission and return it to the Office of the Registrar. The Office of the Registrar is in B102 Kerr Administration Building, 541-737-4331. Graduates of OSU wishing to register for summer term classes should apply for a new admission status; refer to the Admission section. New OSU students should apply for admission; refer to the Admission section.
All graduate students enrolled in graduate degree and certificate programs (unless on approved leave of absence) must register continuously for at least 3 graduate credits, except in Summer Session, until their degree or certificate is granted or until their status as a credential-seeking student is terminated. Students who break enrollment in their graduate programs, other than during a prior Summer Session, may be required to apply for readmission before being eligible to register for Summer Session. For more information, refer to the graduate student registration requirements on the OSU Catalog.
If you are a newly admitted student, you may register upon notification of admission. See the Admissions Overview for admission procedures.
Non-Degree Students may take classes during summer session. Be sure to complete the non-degree quick application through the Admissions office before contacting an advisor or attempting to register for classes.
A few students may have holds, which will prevent registration. Holds can be viewed by clicking on the "Check Your Registration Status" link in the Registration menu of your MyOSU account. You can clear these by using the provided information to contact the office that has placed your hold.
